David Shimell, Sales Director for VideoCentric, said, "we are very excited about the features and performance of VCON's new HD series, particularly for use in Universities, Schools, Colleges and Corporate Training environments. When combined with a SMARTBoard and Data Projector, the HD5000 provides one-touch speed dialling for teachers and trainers as well as a complete Rich Media platform for internet-access and streaming of classroom material to remote classes and individual PCs".
Shimell adds "on their own, the features of the HD series are very impressive, but when managed by the MXM (VCON's IP management platform) which is supplied with a minimum of 10 free software-only desktop videoconferencing codecs known as V-Point, they become part of the most complete Video-over-IP solution introduced to date". MXM management features include remote administration, directory services, simplified gateway dialling, software MCU option, video-PBX, unicast & multicast streaming as well as secure firewall traversal for voice and video clients.
VideoCentric will begin demonstrating HD3000 and HD5000 in March 2004 and will offer installations and technical support for the new HD range in the UK and Middle East as well as for the existing Cruiser, ViGO, Falcon and MXM systems which it also demonstrates.
VideoCentric's technical staff have worked with VCON products for nearly 10 years and will deliver training courses to Resellers and Integrators as well as to Corporate Network/System Administrators.
